MBTI, "Myers-Briggs Type Indicator", är namnet på ett populärt psykologiskt test som utvecklades av Myers-Briggs baserat på arbete av Carl Gustav Jung. Testet består av ett antal frågor som ska utröna vilken av sexton personlighetstyper man tillhör. Varje personlighetstyp har en unik kombination av fyra par av egenskaper, "preferenser":

 

• E: Extraversion: Uppmärksamhet främst riktad mot yttervärldens människor och ting.

• I: Introversion: Uppmärksamheten främst riktad mot den egna inre världens idéer och intryck.

 

• S: Sinnesförnimmelse: Tar in informationen via de fem sinnena och ser det befintliga.

• N: Intuition: Tar in information via det "sjätte sinnet" och ser det möjliga.

 

• T: Tanke: Fattar beslut grundade på logik och objektivitet.

• F: Känsla: Fattar beslut grundade på personlig värdeskala.

 

• J: Bedömning: Föredrar att leva på ett planerat och organiserat sätt.

• P: Perception: Föredrar att leva på flexibelt och spontant sätt.

Det är ett kul litet test, men observera att det inte är etablerad vetenskap! Testet kritiseras för att inte bygga på sund vetenskap. Det är exempelvis inte utvecklat experimentellt, och det går inte att falsifiera. Men så länge man inte tar det på mycket större allvar än man tar horoskop kan man ha en stunds förströelse och nöje i att läsa om sin personlighetstyp och känna igen sig.

 

Jag har provat två MBTI-tester. Det första har 72 frågor/påståenden, medan det andra har 4 - en för varje bokstav i personlighetstypen. Andra tester är enkla att hitta.

 

När man väl har gjort testet får man som sagt ett resultat -- själv brukar jag få INTJ. Då är det dags att hitta någonstans att läsa om det. Ett par sidor med beskrivningar återfinns på http://typelogic.com respektive http://www.personalitypage.com/high-level.html (som även berättar hur relationer med en viss typ fungerar och ger råd om yrkesval), men det går oftast även bra att webbsöka svaret. Även Wikipedia beskriver typerna.

Sounds about right. Fast jag är inte riktigt säker på vad S/N faktiskt innebär.

Jag gjorde testet igår och fick ISFJ men då jag var rätt trött när jag gjorde det så bestämde jag mig för att göra om testet idag när jag var lite piggare. Då fick jag ISTJ som jag tyckte stämde in rätt så bra på mig.

Jag har läst lite om personlighetstypen och känner igen mig i det mesta om jag ska vara ärlig. Mest kände jag igen mig i Wiki-texten.

 

De här 3 sakerna stämmer väldigt väl:
